Policy for Postings to ‘Member News, Resources & Events’
RATIONALE
One purpose of the Alberta Injury Control Alliance (AICA) is to facilitate networking, communication, collaboration and partnerships among its members. In order to do so, a ‘Member News, Resources & Events’ section has been set up on the AICA website
(www.albertainjurycontrol.com). Although AICA will assist members in sharing information on the website, AICA cannot take responsibility for the content of that information. Therefore the following policy has been established to provide guidelines for posting information to the website:
Details:
- Only members of the Alberta Injury Control Alliance may post information to the website. For organizational memberships, ideally the submission should come through and from that organization’s membership contact as submitted on their AICA membership form.
- Postings will consist of the name of member posting the information (whether it is an organizational or individual member), a short title or heading, and a link to another website for further details and/or a phone number or email address. Actual News/Resource/Event content on this website should be limited to about 25 words.
Sample posting:
AICA Member: Alberta Centre for Injury Control & Research (ACICR)
News/Resource/Event: On Solid Ground: Community Conference on Seniors’ Falls Prevention – Sept. 28-29, 2006, Edmonton, Alberta.
For more information: www.med.ualberta.ca/acicr or call 780-492-6019.
- Upon clicking on the link, the new website will open in a separate window.
- Member postings must be received by the Project Manager by the end of the month who will submit them to the webmaster for posting the following month (generally the 10th).
- Postings must be submitted on a'Member News, Resources & Events' website Posting Request Form.
- Postings will be deleted by the webmaster according to the end date specified on the form.
